Don't be afraid of the scale

In fact, if it's a trigger for you. Throw it out.

This is a topic I can't stress enough to friends and clients. The scale doesn't define you and if you are getting so bummed out when you step on it, it's doing more harm than good.

Your self-worth and self-confidence have nothing to do with a number. I actually dislike numbers all together, whether it be calorie counting, food measuring, or putting your entire happiness on the number you see on a scale.

Life is meant to be lived to the fullest and a part of life is eating and enjoying food! While moderation is key, getting to that part organically and intuitively is the goal. Not by starving and then basing your results on the number.

While a scale is great for giving us base lines and progress updates, it's not something to get on everyday or multiple times a day. I even have a client who told me she used to take her scale with her on vacation! That unfortunately is crossing into a dangerous obsession that will not end well. It's important to fix what's really going on and self-love is a big part of that and what I focus on with my clients.

If you are wanting more food freedom and less stress about the scale, send me a message and let's try to get clarity around what's really going on and how you can stop the vicious scale cycle for good.
