Benefits of Dry Brushing

Dry brushing is an easy and effective way to get yourself energized in the morning all while exfoliating your skin and pumping your lymphatic system.



Did you know that your lymphatic system doesn’t get going on its own? It needs to be manually stimulated. This is important because it’s a way that your body will rid itself of toxins. Dry brushing every day is a great way to help your body and it doesn’t take a lot of effort.

Here’s how I do it:

Before I get in the shower in the morning I quickly take the bristle brush and stroke in upwards motion starting on the tops of my feet and going up towards my legs. You always want to go towards your heart. Then same for when you move to your arms. Start at the hands and move up your arms. When you get to your stomach area, go in a clockwise direction.


Your brush should be firm but never so hard it hurts or damages your skin.

I usually spend about 2-3 minutes and then I get in the shower. If you want to use some oil, take a shower first and then use the oil and dry brush.
